Yes, the time had come, which chiefly means that the length of my hair finally met the minimum requirement (10 inches) for a donation to Locks of Love, a very nice group who make high-quality hairpieces for children with medical hairloss. And so now I have short hair again, just in time for spring (ha!).
Since LJ really likes my hair long, I expect it will be grown out again, probably someday soon. But for now, I am really enjoying having short hair. It had gotten to be quite a tangle by the end, and now washing my hair is infinitely quicker :)
